CSV import of job and work step data

What

Using CSV import, you can quickly and easily import a large number of orders and scheduled work stepsinto smartblick.

What for

You probably already work computer-aided in managing orders and planning your production. Most programs offer an export of your data.

With this function you can link the data of your planning or order management programs with smartblick.

How

If necessary, consult the instructions for the program you are already using, e.g. for Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, to export your data to the CSV format.

The CSV format is used to display data in tabular form. Data is sorted into columns. For the import, the file must have a specific structure. We have prepared a template for you, which you can fill directly. You can download this template directly from the Dashboard.

ORDER	Free text UTF-8	No	If empty, worksteps will be imported as "Unassigned" and must later be scheduled in smartblick.
MACHINE	Free text UTF-8	No	Must exactly match the machine name in smartblick. If not, no machine will be assigned.
SETUP TIME [min]	Decimal number	No	Standard time to set up the machine.
CYCLE TIME [min]	Decimal number	No	Standard time to produce one workpiece.
WORKPIECES: TARGET	Integer	No	If empty, 1 piece will be assigned. The number of workpieces per article is taken from the last workstep. The number of workpieces for the order is the sum of all article workpieces.
ORDER: DELIVERY DATE	ISO-8601 timestamp (dd.mm.yyyy hh:mm)	No	The delivery date must be unique per order.
TAGS	Free text UTF-8	No	Multiple tags must be separated by a comma.
PROCESSING ORDER	Integer	No	The processing order per article is sorted by priority (1 = highest priority). The numbers do not need to be sequential (e.g., 10, 20, 30 are acceptable). If no order is specified, priorities will be automatically assigned.
ORDER: COMMENT	Free text UTF-8	No	Only one comment per order.
WORKSTEP: COMMENT	Free text UTF-8	No

Each work step you want to create must be entered in a new line.

Import

Navigate to the job management and click on CSV-IMPORT.

Upload the prepared file.
You will then see which jobs and work steps will be created or modified.

When you are satisfied with the preview, you can click Create orders to complete the process.
